Meet Your Therapist
Hi! My name is Chelsea, and I’m glad you’re here!
Before we begin working together, I want you to have a sense of who I am—not just as a therapist but as a person. This section offers a glimpse into the values, experiences, and everyday moments that shape how I show up in the therapy room. My hope is that this section helps you feel at ease as you consider taking the next step in your healing journey.

Hi! My name is Chelsea, and I am a native Houstonian and fourth-generation Texan who identifies as Afro-Latina. I hold a BSW and MSW from Baylor University and have been a licensed social worker in Texas since 2016. I have a decade of clinical experience working in a variety of settings, including victim services, foster care, disaster and humanitarian relief, and mental health.

My practice is grounded in culturally responsive, equity-centered care that recognizes how structural and systemic factors shape mental health and recovery. I strive to create a space where individuals feel seen, respected, and empowered in their healing process. Centering client autonomy, I collaborate with individuals to build on their strengths, foster resilience, and support meaningful, sustainable change. My approach integrates evidence-based practices with a deep commitment to social justice, honoring each person’s lived experience while working toward long-term healing and well-being.

What I enjoy most about being a therapist is walking alongside people as they begin to see themselves and their lives differently. I value helping others recognize their strengths and cultivate hope for their futures, even when things feel uncertain. There’s something deeply meaningful about supporting someone as they find a sense of peace within themselves and reconnect with what matters most to them.

Long walks where I can slow down, listen to the sounds of nature, and really notice the world around me. There’s something grounding about simply existing in those moments. It brings me a deep sense of peace and comfort.

I would love to take a long road trip across the USA with my family and Goldendoodle, exploring as many national parks as possible.
